VIRTUAL COUNCIL
Illuman’s Virtual Council Circles use Zoom to connect men from anywhere in the world.
The Way of Council is a core Illuman practice offering mutual connection and personal growth through the practice of listening and speaking from the heart within a circle of men. Our Virtual Council Circles use Zoom to connect men from anywhere in the world for communal time spent in quiet contemplation, sharing reflective readings or poetry, and deepening our connection with challenging, open-ended discussion prompts.
You are invited to any of our multiple weekly Virtual Council options. Whether you are experienced in the Way of Council or a complete newcomer, all are welcome. Follow the link below to learn more and find a Council that works for you.
PASSION CIRCLES
Passion Circles allow men to gather online around shared aspects of their own personal spiritual journeys or mutual common interests.
Passion Circles are a type of virtual council focused on shared common interests or experiences.
There are two types of Passion Circles:

Issue/Experience-oriented Passion Circles gather around shared personal issues to support one another through difficult life experiences. Who better to walk shoulder-to-shoulder with than other men who have known similar challenges?

Interest-oriented Passion Circles gather for collaborative study around shared topics of interest. They provide an opportunity for deeper, shared learning, as well as preparing men for service in the world.

Passion Circles are self-organizing, self-managing and open to all men. If you would like to suggest a new Passion Circle or would like support in starting one yourself, fill out the form below.
Cohorts
Facilitated group intensives that help men take the next step on their inner journey of personal growth and transformation.
Illuman Cohorts are intensive programs for small groups of men to go deeper into their own inner work together as they continue along their personal path of spiritual growth and transformation – a process that we call the Journey of Illumination. If the Men’s Rites of Passage initiates a man into the Journey, cohorts are the next steps along that path, ensuring that the Rites don’t become merely a one-off event, but instead are integrated into his day-to-day life in a transformative way.
Cohorts are led by qualified facilitators and involve both online group work and conversation as well as solo practices that you can do at home or out in the more-than-human world. Some cohorts may also involve occasional in-person events. Cohorts typically meet for several months or up to one year, depending on the program.
