Your spiritual journey was never meant to be made alone. Growth happens in communities where we support, encourage, and challenge one another—where we feel safe to be our true and vulnerable selves. If you have ever wished for a circle of friends to travel the journey with you and would like to start a men’s group of your own, Illuman is offering a new Council Training Course this Fall.
This course will teach you to lead what we are calling Journey of Illumination Circles, small groups of men committed to traveling their spiritual journey together over the long haul—brothers you can rely on through thick and thin. Central to these groups is the Way of Council, a communal contemplative practice based on listening and speaking from the heart within a small circle of men. You will also be given a tool-box of other spiritual practices and group bonding activities to turn your circle into a life-long community of friends.
If, after the course completes, you want to start your own circle, we will help you identify other men in your area that may be interested in joining you. Or, if you are already part of an existing circle, this course will equip you to support and co-lead alongside your current facilitators, or refresh and expand your skills if you are already a leader.
WHEN
Training Courses meet via Zoom two hours once a week for four weeks, as well as one or two additional 1-hour council practice sessions throughout the month. 2024 Courses are currently full, but more will be coming in 2025. Sign up here to be contacted once they are announced.
