Join us as we enter the warmth of Spring and rhythms of the seasons with music, connection, and wisdom from nature. Led by CAC affiliate faculty, author, regenerative farmer, wisdom-keeper, and Cherokee descendant Rev. Dr. Randy Woodley, this event invites us to learn how Indigenous values and lifeways offer profound guidance for living in harmony with the Earth. Rev Dr. Woodley spends much of his time sharing indigenous traditions and teaching through his Indigenous Center for Earth Justice, Eloheh (pronounced Ay-luh-hay) and his regenerative seed farm located in the Willamette Valley, Oregon.
Rev. Dr. Woodley will share the lifeways of the Harmony Way from his new book, Journey to Eloheh: How Indigenous Values Lead Us to Harmony and Well-Being. Eloheh is a Cherokee word for harmony, abundance, wholeness, and peace. Together, we’ll explore aspects of the ten values of the Harmony Way—held in common across at least 45 Indigenous tribes and nations, that can lead us toward true well-being through harmony, respect, accountability, history, humor, authenticity, equality, friendship, generosity, and balance. By learning and cultivating Eloheh's everyday practices, we take steps toward personal transformation, communal well-being, and ecological sustainability.
We know the Western worldview is at odds with a sustainable Earth, a just common life, and personal well-being. Together, we can learn and respect another way of living—one that is effective, recognizes the Earth as sacred, sees all creation as related, and offers ancestral values as the way forward to a shared future. The journey to Eloheh holds promise for all of us, Indigenous or not.
The morning will include:
