Not just a “conference,” Soularize offers the opportunity to do profound inner work together with other men. At this 2022 gathering, we will be guided through the Work that Reconnects, a process pioneered by Joanna Macy, a scholar of Buddhism, systems theory, and deep ecology.
This work unfolds as a spiral journey through four stages:

Honoring our Pain for the World
Seeing with New/Ancient Eyes
Going Forth
This is the work required to awaken us to our current alienation and reconnect us to ourselves, to each other, and to the planet. At Soularize—utilizing ritual, story, poetry, drumming, nature wanderings, small group Councils, and more—we will do this work together, for the good of the world, through a power greater than our own.

WHAT TO BRING
As part of our Soularize rituals, we invite you bring the following items:
- A small ziplock bag of dirt from wherever you are from.
- A hand drum of any size. (If you are driving and have more than one drum, please bring extra to share with men who are flying and may not be able to bring their own.)
SCHEDULE
Upon arriving at the Hyatt Tamaya please check-in to your room at the front desk to the left of the entrance (if you are staying at the resort). Then come check-in to the conference at our Registration Table in the Mountainview Foyer down the hallway to the right of the entrance past the Starbucks and the bar.
Check-In: 3-6:30 PM on Thursday, Nov 3
Opening Session: 6:45pm, Thursday, November 3
Late Check-In: 7:30-8:15 AM on Friday, Nov 4
Closing Session Ends: Noon on Sunday, Nov 6

MEALS
Your registration fee includes seven meals, Friday breakfast through Sunday breakfast. We will do our best to accommodated a variety of dietary requirements, but please let us know if you have any specific needs.
All other meals, snacks, and beverages are at your own expense. Coffee/tea can be made in your room, or purchased at the on-site Starbucks in the hotel lobby.
Please note that provided meals are only open to registered attendees. We are not able to accommodate additional guests or spouses.
ACCOMMODATIONS
The reduced-rate Soularize room block at the Hyatt Tamaya is now CLOSED. You may still be able to reserve a room at the regular rate. Alternatively, you may want to consider searching for nearby hotels or AirBnBs in or around Bernalillo, New Mexico. There are also two campgrounds within six miles of the conference site, the Coronado Campground (3.7 miles from Tamaya) and the Albuquerque North/Bernalillo KOA (5.5 miles).

TRANSPORTATION
Driving: The Hyatt Regency Tamaya is located at 1300 Tuyuna Trail, Santa Ana Pueblo, NM 87004, 27 miles north of the Albuquerque airport (ABQ). Parking is available on site.
Airport Shuttle: For those flying into Albuquerque, we are offering a shuttle to and from the airport on the afternoons of Thursday, November 3rd and Sunday, November 6th. Shuttle pick-up times at the airport on Thursday afternoon are 1:30pm, 3:30pm, and 5:30pm. Return shuttles to the airport on Sunday afternoon leave at 12:30pm and 2:30pm. Shuttle rides cost $10 each way, though scholarships are available if needed. Click here for more details and to reserve your spot on the shuttle.
Rideshare Options: For men who choose not to use the airport shuttle and don’t want to rent a car, the following rideshare/taxi options are available:*

ADDITIONAL OPPORTUNITIES
Wives/Partners Reception: If you are bringing a female partner with you to enjoy the resort while you attend the conference, they are invited to a Wives & Partners Reception on Thursday at 5:30pm. Click here to RSVP.
Soularize Marketplace Invitation: If you would like to bring an original creation (books, art, music, etc.) to sell in our Soularize Marketplace, please fill out this submission form for consideration.
Talent Show Sign-Up: If you would like to perform during our Friday night talent show, submit this form to sign-up.
CANCELLATION POLICY
If you are no longer able to attend and need to cancel your registration, please do so before Wednesday, October 26 when we must turn in our final catering numbers to the hotel. Refunds are available, minus a $50 cancellation fee. You may also opt to forgo the refund and either transfer your registration fee to another man by name or donate it to our general scholarship fund.
COVID PRECAUTIONS
Out of love and care for all Soularize attendees and those we come into contact with, we require that all participants be either FULLY VACCINATED (defined as a minimum of all primary doses of the approved vaccines plus all booster doses when eligible to receive them) or have natural immunity due to a prior infection and recovery from COVID-19. We strongly encourage (but do not require) all attendees to take a PCR or rapid test prior to departing for the event. Unless mandated by health authorities, the individual’s decision to mask or to not mask during the event will be honored.
