As I come to the end of the three years I served as a member of the Board of Illuman, my first thought is one of deep gratitude for the opportunity. Though my role was specific as Treasurer, I had the opportunity to engage in all the conversations that took place. Over this period the Board has continued to evolve. Because of the many volunteer hours and work put in by so many men, it is significantly different today from when I first joined (and I mean that in a positive sense!) I serve in a similar role in other organizations but none have Illuman’s main reason for existence: “men transforming men through a power greater than ourselves.” It is my hope and prayer that Illuman continues to grow and evolve as it is desperately needed in these times. It should continue to seek new men from all backgrounds to make the fabric of Illuman richer and more whole. With gratitude and thanks!
